Speaking
There is nothing more painful than listening to a speaker who just doesn’t ‘get it.’ There’s no doubt that you’ve heard them before. They’ll lecture for an hour while the audience slowly slips away… day dreaming instead of paying attention.
Nothing frustrates me more than being bored… This makes me craft my presentations in a very special way. I’m I have a strong belief that all presentations should incorporate three things:
- Education
- Interaction
- Entertainment
Education makes sure the audience learns something new… If there’s no element of education, the presentation is waste of time. Interaction forces people to pay attention, even if they don’t want to. You can’t doze off when the speaker is picking people to volunteer. And lastly, entertainment. Presentations are meant to be fun. If the audience is laughing… they’re listening.
If the audience isn’t having a good time, then I’m not having fun. Period.
Each presentation is unique and your group/employees/audience will walk away with ACTIONABLE steps they can use the moment they walk out of the door.
I’ve spoken to numerous organizations and groups, ranging from a 1000+ person nation-wide webcast… all the way down to a small group of CIO’s for a Fortune 250 company.
My three most requested programs are:
