QuestiModiCation – And other 21st Century Citizen traits
On Monday I had the pleasure of sitting on a panel at The Midwest Literary Institute. The MLI is for teachers who realize that there is something missing in our education system today… That schools need to find a new way to approach the classroom.
Angela Maiers and Mike Sansone put on a great show. The panel was made up of six people, ranging from a CEO to a Iowa’s Middle School Principal of the Year to a gifted entrepreneur. The goal of the panel was to express our views of what the education system should be preparing kids for while the educators expressed their views on the same subject.
After that we brainstormed some words that describe what a 21st Century Student looks like and what we’d like them to take away from their education… Here were my favorites:
QuestiModiCation – Questioning, Motivated, Communication
Skethical – Skilled & Ethical
Habitudes – Habits & Attitudes (This one goes to Mike)
That was only the first day of the week long conference… I can’t wait to see what else they come up with.

Great list Andy! And thanks for being an integral voice – not only on the panel, but in our lives.
Angela would say (and I would agree) that you’re fantabulous.
Thanks for having me, Mike! I’m still blown away by the amount of content you and Angela come up with.
Let me know how the rest of the week goes.
Andy-
