Why bloggers are special
A few traits I think the majority of bloggers share…
Ambition – We’re striving to do something more than just “have a job.” We want to have a career… or build a company… or change the world. Settling for mediocrity isn’t in our nature.
Knowledge – Writing leads to discussion. Discussion leads to deeper thinking. Deeper thoughts lead to new ideas…. Which, in turn, leads to writing about them. Authoring a blog forces you to continually challenge the thoughts you have.
Generous– I’ve had people offer to help me with everything from resume advice to conference tickets to powerful connections. We understand the concept that the more you help others, the more others will help you.
Connected – I have friends all over the world that I’ve never “met”. Some I’ve just conversed with through posts, while others I’ve called up and chatted on the phone for a while. Either way, it’s all about building relationships… Bloggers understand that more than anyone.
